Bring back the list
This is not efficient when you are in the library and you need to switch, this is too much back and forth. We're using the Libraries a lot, we can't lose time, doing back and forth with that type of list, it's not efficient. Give us the choice please

I recently updated Photoshop and already got very annoyed by the new Libraries Panel. I very often jump between a few libraries assigned to my different clients and the drop down list was quite helpful (I like the few recent libraries on the top, but it would be nice to turn it off or change to manually selected Favorites list). The new panel is very uncomfortable to use because it requires an additional step (and loading) and the placement where I want to click is less predictable. I can't just click in the same place (dropdown list) to jump back and forth.
There is also a lot of wasted space (unclickable library's name, filter buttons in another row, invite button - really, is that something I need to have an instant access to instead of having it hidden in options?) that is unscrollable, so instead of a small window for library content I have even smaller window.
Working on a laptop in different places I can't have additional screen for all the panels, so it's very inconvenient when one of them eats a lot of space and I'm unable to minimize its size. -

Completely agree. And there is way too much dead space from the library name to the actual library content.

Danke leute.

I was about to post the same thing. The new library set up is REALLY BAD. In all caps there. Initially I was missing the groups, the little drop down carrots are a big step in the wrong direction. Then I realized I could still see by 'grid view' instead of 'list view.'
It's actually much worse than I thought. We can't rearrange the items in the groups, that was one of the most important functions when organizing brand colors. Also, when you want to alter a color, you cant just change the #HEX code, you need to click on it, opening up a new element, and change the color, then go back to the group, and you can't rearrange the order. Working on an Infographic with a tight timeline, and this is TERRIBLE. Again, all caps. Adobe, please go back to the previous version, or at least give us an option to revert. This is a huge problem. Thank you, Tyler
[Update] I do see now that you can still move the elements around inside of groups by switching from 'View by type' to 'View by group'. Still not a fan of the new layout, and especially the extra steps needed to make changes to colors. If you could please give us the option to revert back to the previous system

100% could not agree more. This morning I went to access the library and now they have added another step to the process WHY? WHY? WHY?!!!!!
It's so inefficient, it now 4/5 clicks to open a different file, including a double click. I Hate it. Bring back the drop menu and double click to open a file.

We have the same problem. My idea was solve this problem being able to create subfolders. That would help us a LOT!
Also when you see the screenshot: Always having RECENT on top is too much space wasting and confusing. There should be a possibility to hide the RFECENT list.
