Has anyone solved vectors appearing to have a white background instead of transparent in libraries? Note: Molly's solution is when placing the vectors vs previewing them in CC library. Different issue.

Yes it's ridicolous, also because the white background remains when I exported to high resolution PDF.....
There are some bugs on the creative cloud that I don't believe :o

Vectors preview with white background in CC Library (Panel/Web)
Frustrating when the white vectors are on white backgrounds.
We have multiple team members as editors on vector CC libraries – PC and MAC users.MAC users:
The vector graphics preview with a white background. If they add a new vector, it previews without a white background but just for that MAC uploader. If a MAC user, exports and uploads a library, all the vector art has white backgrounds (including their newer uploads). If a MAC user starts a new library, the graphic still appears with a white background for other MAC users.PC users:
The vectors don't preview with white backgrounds in any case. Both users:
When placed in InDesign/Illustrator, they don't have a white background. -

Ok I found out one possible reason why SOME (not all may not show). When you drag and drop art from illustrator into Libraries it seems to arbitratily place the art anywhere in the file and not on the artboard. If you then open up the file and place it on the artboard it will then show on the preview.
I'm still however having the issue where some don't show, but once you click it and it takes you to the libraries preview box (when it used to just open the file), it shows there.
Adobe: is there any reason why when you select a group of items and drag and drop them in as one file on Libraries that it bounds of those items is the artboard? Hope that makes sense. Having to go back and update all these files is tedious.

I'm having this issue too - on one computer. What changed? All items were dragged and dropped from Illustrator into the CC libraries. Attached is a screenshot of the differences between the two computers.
I'm trying to persist with Libraries but it seems that this is another issue that makes it preferable to have items on a network drive (until the connection drops and adobe crashes).

Hi thanks for reporting! @waldemar
Have you tried the steps listed in this comment? https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign/creative-cloud-library-graphics-now-have-a-white-background/td-p/9173618#M55605
This should fix the transparency issue you're seeing on the CC Libraries panel. Let me know if you're still seeing a white background after adding new elements with that transparency setting fixed.
Thanks again,
Molly
